Philippa is a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers. She has an Honours degree in horticulture from Reading University and she has also lectured on garden design.
Since she started designing in 1991 Philippa has undertaken a wide range of projects throughout the United Kingdom and on the Continent and has also designed medal winning show gardens at Chelsea, Hampton Court, Zurich, Geneva and in Austria.
Philippa has close links with the range of other professionals needed to take a garden from idea to reality. She feels strongly that gardens should be 'Green' and that plants should take central stage in any garden.
Where possible Philippa uses British grown plants from local nurseries in her designs. Environmentally friendly design solutions are always preferred.
Philippa O'Brien has recently launched a second office in Bristol, and offers garden design and consultancy services for clients nationwide.
